Match the pack to the application
Packaging affects how a grooming product is handled, dispensed and stored. Start by describing the person using it: a pet owner bathing one animal, a grooming team working through appointments or a distributor supplying professional outlets. The pack should support that use case.
A flip-top bottle, pump and professional can are different dispensing choices. Discuss the product texture and how much needs to be dispensed at a time. A visually attractive closure is only useful when it works with the selected formulation.
Specify each size as a separate requirement
List the capacities you need and the quantities for each. For commercial packs, specify the actual capacity, closure preference and handling requirements in the brief. “Bulk” alone does not define a pack.
If you plan to decant a commercial format, discuss the receiving container and labelling process with the team. Do not assume the application instructions or dilution ratio from a different product apply to your selected formula.
Review bottle, closure and label together
Request the label dimensions for the proposed bottle before finalising artwork. Check the available print area, curvature and any seams or grip features. The artwork layout should preserve readable product information as well as your brand identity.
Provide your logo in an appropriate source format and identify colour references. Review a pack sample where possible, including dispensing, closure fit and appearance. Ask what compatibility checks and transport considerations apply before agreeing the final specification.
Keep changes visible in the quotation
Changing a closure, capacity or decoration method can change the commercial brief. Ask for revised details when a packaging decision changes, and keep the approved version with your project records.
